A romantic poem by Anaesthesiologist...... As I rest my head lovingly on your chest.... My Anaesthesia Brain suddenly over rides my heart...... My ears hear your racing heartbeats.... My mind says " Ah,Sinus Tachycardia, normal rate, normal rhythm, a few regularly skipped beats " I feel husband warm breath.... My ears start hearing his breathsounds.. " Ah, AEBE( Air entry bilaterally equal).No added sounds " Suddenly I hear husband peristaltic rumble..... " Ah,no electrolyte imbalance. Potassiums normal". I look up gaze lovingly ..... But here too my Anaesthesiologist gaze takes over my heart...... Jugular vein too good,Central cannulation v easy. ........ Further I need not go..........
