Class of 92

 CLASS OF 92 BATCH ,MGIMS, SEWAGRAM........

MGIMS, SEWAGRAM is my Alma Mater for MBBS. 

MY Batch joined in 1992. So the name 92 Batch.

This BATCH has been famous ( STATISTICAL ANALYSIS BY ALUMNII GROUP).

NEVER in history of Sewagram.,MGIMS ..80% of Batch strength has been Girls. 

Yes, my 92 Batch had 38 girls and 12 boys initially. 

After 2 months 40 girls and 10boys.

After 6months....40 girls and 16 boys.

Every year hardly 10 to maximum 20 girls would join in a batch. So Girls Hostel had only 2 blocks for Undergraduate girls.

But in 1992,40 girls joined at one time.

This caused commotion to management. 

How do we accomodate so many girls. For 6months, lots of permutations were thought to the extent of Exchange of Girls and Boys Hostel. Yes sounds ridiculous today but very exciting to young blood those days. 

But additional Boys Hostel one block was added to Girls hostel.DBlock...where PG  girls were accomodated. Coz that block was adjacent to Boys block. 

This Batch of mine has been Famous for various reasons.

1.Initially for 6months, we were advised by Warden to move around Wardha city together.

Imagine 40 beautiful young girls all 40 going to a movie.ROJA.......Title song came....Chorus of 40 girls in the back row screaming ROJAAAAAA...in Unison.Crowd went astonished. We became highlight of that small town.

2. FIRST time Rose day was held.40 girls decided to make an unknown senior boy of college THE ROSE KING.

The boy itself got shock of his life.He became famous overnight.

3.Annual dinner used to held every year by College. Imagine 40 girls in unison entering the Boys Hostel admist Whistles, and cat calls.Unforgettable.

3.Even Professors for the first time found it difficult to concentrate. 4 big rows  full of girls and 2 rows of boys.Later they too got used to our Girl Power. 

Annual Gatherings: 

First time on stage,Naga Dance was performed. Beautiful dance with actual Bamboo sticks by 20 girls on stage with complete Nagaland costume and makeup,Hairdo.Lovely.Mesmerizing.

First time Fashion Show was conducted in College Beautiful 20 girls walking and dancing to peppy songs with variety of Indian and western outfits.Mind blowing.

We were distinct in Fun Fairs and College yearly Sports meet, Cultural activities. 

The reason being Unison.

We used to enter everywhere in unison Full 40 of us.

The first time Boys all of 16 were in majority was ...when we 40 girls in unison decided to bunk A Practical class and went Cycling to Pavna Ashram.

We were given a scolding by our HOD. 

But the whole College secretly appreciated THE GIRL POWER. 

I am very proud of being a part of this CLASS OF CLASSY BOSSY 92 batch of MGIMS, Sewagram. 

Today, we are all over the world doing very well. 

Even PROUD to have 3 of our Girls in ARMED FORCES on Field posted in difficult terrain.Salute to their Grit.Some running big hospitals single handed. Some unfortunately but Proudly running their family single handed. Applause. 

All 40 girls at high post and very good practice in Private and Government sectors. Hats off.
