Ancient civilization.....Dynasty period.....BC period.......

Ramayana and Mahabharata era.....

There is vivid and detailed description of the Wedding preparation and Rituals..,....

Preindependence day....Maharajas carrying out processions....massive crowd.....Grand wedding ceremonies....High profile guests and dignitaries globally attending......

Till our current 21st century....the Ambani Weddings of their 3 kids......

Opulent,Splendour and Overtly Magnanimous.......

Wedding trends change with generations.....

Whatever maybe your budget.....Indians in all strata of Society.....spend huge......in Wedding festivities and celebration. 

My parents era.....The Black and white age.....the Trend was Groom and Bride...go to photo studio....and click pictures.......

My Generation....had colors and Video. Loads of pictures....the Bride in her fineries...Mehendi in her hands and feet....Grooms name in her Mehendi hands.....and his Face superimposed in her both hands....with background Music and Trending Film songs being played.......

Today, is AI Generation......Mega......Opulence.....

Pre wedding shoots.....Destination weddings......Theme for the couple and people attending.......Wedding celebration and the Budgets both are long......

Some do scorn and are critical about current trends......

But let me tell you.....Weddings have always been grand....in each era.....in their own way......irrespective of economic status....community......power and position.......

All want that moment to be special, memorable and opulent......

Everyone wants to be a part of that moment......

Each one of us.....have dreamt of our wedding.....each one of us has been full of excitement regarding our wedding process......each one of us wishes to give the best to our kids weddings....

But......

When our Aspirations go beyond our capacity......lands us in debt......collapses our financial credibility.......end us in Crisis......

That's when Wedding Trends receive the Brickbats....and criticism.

When opulence and magnaminity become so Obvious that it scorns the eyes of the lesser privileged and challenging community.......

Especially post Covid.....Global inflation, huge Financial debacles......huge unemployment.......the whole Country and Continents are struggling with major Health and Financial stability......

The Rich Big Fat Weddings and Trends

How much......is too much?????

  How much ....is Too much????? I happened to visit my Paediatrician friend. An IAS officer brought her 2 month baby for check up.The baby was crying while passing urine.Urine tests and culture showed no infection. The concerned Mother showed a methodically maintained book on number of times the 2 month was breastfed,pooped, burped,passed motion,flatulence..body temperature..etc etc....We were surprised by minute details noted every moment of the newborn by the apprehensive but diligent new Mom. Now we come to the part .....How much....is too much???? To maintain asepsis....the overtly careful mom.....had wiped the private parts of the baby ...each time it passed urine or motion.....with concentrated hospital Savalon antiseptic solution...... This resulted in inflammation of the baby's soft mucosa over private parts.....making every passing of urine agonizing and burning.......
