Chalk and Duster,synonymous to a Teacher.

The Pre Digital period ( Suddenly making me a Veteran 😁😄).....

Blackboard teaching in Classrooms was method of imparting knowledge and education. 

The Blackboard then got transformed to Glass Green board .

The white Chalk got more colorful- Pink,Green,Blue chalks.

Beginning the day with 

Thought of The Day written by the girl who had the best handwriting ( I have done that duty for years🤗)

At the side ,the PAT ( Present/ Absent/ Total number of students for that day) table .

Nostalgic. 


Today, Digitalisation has replaced the Blackboard and Chalks and Duster.


Covid Pandemic made On Line Classes popular.


The physical interaction between Teacher and Students is getting lost .


Teacher catches us either napping sitting back bench.Hitting us with that piece of Chalk.

We girls adoring and admiring the beautiful saree of our Teacher and smelling the fragrance of the Mogra she put into her Bun.....or her Perfume.


Teachers voice all over the class as she walked from front to back and forth reading a lesson. 


Teacher teaching us Science laws, drawing Geometry designs or writing Maths problems all over the Blackboard.....

The Chalk Dust flying over the front benches.

History class took us to Medieval era when Teacher animatedly with voice modulation and hand gestures would narrate Shivaji Maharaj and Mughal wars,British Empire and Freedom struggles, World War 1 and 2 stories,French revolution etc etc etc......

We would visualize ourselves being in that period especially Harappa and Mohenjodaro Civilization.

Tasma Shri Guruve Namaha.


I bow to thee,My Teachers.

A Good Teacher uplifts even the weakest students to perform their best.


Empathy and Patience. 


Teacher who has these 2 qualities is remembered by each student forever.


Teachers are strict.To bring discipline amongst the students, one requires to be strict.

But if in form of strictness and discipline, if one ridicules the student, uses harsh demeaning words or Physical abuse......one is not correcting the erred student but repeatedly if this continues.....

Student will stop ,not respecting the Teacher ,...but Student will stop respecting and valuing self.

Student will lose confidence over self and will ever doubt self.


Chalk and Duster play a vital role in building personalities of Youth who are Citizens of Tomorrow. 

Progress of Society and Development of a Nation depends upon the Youth .


As children spend most of their time in schools nowadays.

Teachers - The Chalk and Duster- 

They have produced best Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Architects, Statesman who have helped in building the Society. 

The Chalk and Duster has not only imparted us education but has been The Guiding Force and Mentor of our lives.

When you lose Health

 When you lose your health...... I was referred a 70yr man suffering from severe pain. A CA Lung with metastasis. He was a very successful, famous Advocate.A Robust and Dynamic personality yesterday.  But that Cancer had made him weak and vulnerable.  He had become a frail shadow..... Another patient with Parkinson 's disease regularly visits for pain relief . A retired Chairman of a Conglomerate.  Both these people have been Dynamic personalities looked up on by everyone. They inspired youth by their enormous work and attitude.  Today,though the Brain is very strong..... The Body became weak and debilitating.  They get emotional " Why me,Doctor?"
