Real vs Reel.

 In the " REAL" World.

I had been to a condolence meeting of a Senior Doctor.
So many people had gathered there to pay their last respects.
It was overwhelming to see that the Senior Doctor had touched so many lives....and that day was the proof of his Good Work throughout his life.
I went to offer condolences to his son...." Sir earned lot of Good will by his enormous benevolent work."
His son replied" That's what he earned only in his whole life.Only Good Will.No money."

What is important in our Life?

Today,our young generation is immersed in Digital media and Artificial Intelligence.
They are more involved and connected to ' Reel" and " Virtual media.
They have lakhs of Followers who 👍 Like them on Instagram and X.
They communicate majority of their day on Social platforms with unknown strangers.
But in Real world....
They remain aloof and secluded from surrounding and society.
Absolute no interaction nor communication.
Materialistic and Monetary acquirements give them more pleasure than spending few moments with family and neighbors.
They are so engrossed with themselves that they have no connection nor affinity to relationships.
Every emotion is conveyed through Emojis on WhatsApp....whether birthday or Death condolences.....
Festivals and celebrations.....
Anniversaries and Events....
Every thing is in form of Emojis, Gif, Shares,Forwards.
They feel that's the essence of Life.....
Being Connected via Virtual World.

Can Virtual World ever replace Real World.....and
Can Reel Friends on Social platforms compensate Real Human Relationships....

Years of Good Will ...

Can that be earned by being disconnected from Real Humans around us.....
The Good Will and Love of everyone around us earned by actually "Physically" helping them in their crisis and most vulnerable situations....
Physically supporting each other in difficult and hard times.....
Physically communicating with each other in sorrow and grief....

Can all this which pre Digital era...a generation did for one another....
Being and living in Real Time.....
Today,post Digital and Artificial Intelligence dependent....Virtual World living...immersed in Reel Time always...
Will today's and next generation ever earn that " Good Will" in their lifetime....
So that others remember them after one is no more In Real World.....



This blog was written when my Father suffered a heart attack.Neither of his children could be there at that moment.
It was neighbors and friends who drove him to the hospital, admitted him to Intensive Cardiac Care Unit ( one of them even paid the initial admission amount) and stabilized his condition.
The Good Will my Father had earned by helping everyone in " Reality ".....saved his life that day.....

Grateful to all of our kind neighbors and Friends who came out at night to help.
