 3 Faces of " Mata"


A pregnant woman posted for Csection. Relatives and patient both were tensed.

We Doctors were tensed as it was her 4th Csection. Difficult surgery, PPH,other complications. 

But patient was tensed as she had 3 daughters. 

The entire surgery went well without complications, we were relieved. 

But outside every one was crying as if a death had occurred.

When the patient was told it's another girl, she started beating her chest.She cursed the newborn. She refused to even see her own baby and breastfeed. 😳😡😠


A mentally challenged lady came for Csection  .It was a task bringing her into OT, getting her to be anaestheised. She was clueless of what's going on and disturbed.

But on hearing the baby's cry...." Is the baby alright?"

God takes away everything from a mentally challenged person but Maternal Instincts- Never.


A 3 yr baby girl suffering from delayed mental and motor milestones and Throwing Seizures was to be sedated for MRI Brain.

The baby was abandoned by her mother for being a Girl. 

The elder brother 's wife took pity on the baby and adopted the baby.As months passed the baby showed delayed motor and mental milestones. It started having Seizures.

Doctors ordered for MRI. 

I got conversing." DOCTOR, I know this baby will always need me.She is not a normal baby.But she is Allah's gift to me.Allah chose me to be her mother. Allah's gift has to be accepted happily."


I wish everyone has this outlook.


Each baby - Boy or Girl- is Prasad of Almighty. 

We must happily accept it.Be grateful.Even if it is a Girl  Even if it is challenged ( Specially abled).

When you lose Health

 When you lose your health...... I was referred a 70yr man suffering from severe pain. A CA Lung with metastasis. He was a very successful, famous Advocate.A Robust and Dynamic personality yesterday.  But that Cancer had made him weak and vulnerable.  He had become a frail shadow..... Another patient with Parkinson 's disease regularly visits for pain relief . A retired Chairman of a Conglomerate.  Both these people have been Dynamic personalities looked up on by everyone.
