 What's in a Name????

Few years back,I had attended a funeral of an eminent Doctor. 

As I was offering my heartfelt condolences to the son of the deceased Doctor....

Sir made lot of name and earned lots of respect in his lifetime. 

The Son replied " That's all my father could earn with his medical practice....only name.....no fortunes."


Only Name......


What's in a Name?????


My Mother retired years back after long years of service in Metereological department. I couldn't attend her Retirement Function. But the photos and the recorded speeches....showed how much love, affection and respect her co workers( Seniors, colleagues,juniors) had for her.....


There is a saying....

A person in known by the number of people attending his last day .....


When we are in a position of power.....loaded with money......every one around knows us....respects us....makes efforts to reach out to us.

But our true value.....is in Name we earn through out life.....

Last Day....we have neither Power nor do we carry the wealth......

What remains forever till end.....is Name.....

It's our good work towards people around us.....earns us respect from them....and Name.

Our materialistic value is momentary.

Dear Youth,

Money and Power help us in earning lot of things in life.

As long as Money, Position and Power remain with us.....people recognize us.

I totally agree. 

But never forget.....Name earned by good work.....brings respect and goodwill.....

People remember our Name.....till our last day ....even when we lose all our money, power and position.....

Name leaves behind respect and goodwill from people......even after we are no more.

Money lost can be earned back.

Power gone can be fought back.

Position lost can be gained back.

But you lose your Name.....it is lost forever.

Money,Power,Position we earn in less time.....in hurry. 

Name needs a long long time and patiently diligently earned.

Ratan Tata is no more amongst us.

But his Name remains in our heart forever.

His years of hard work and  contributions to the society ,to world and various fields will be remembered forever....even by generations who have never seen him.

That's the Power of Name.......

Name reflects our attitude, aptitude, our contributions to the society. 

Name leaves behind our legacy....

Our money,power,position define us, ,recognize us ...only .....and as long as they remain with us .....as long we are alive.....

Name makes us immortal.

When you lose Health

 When you lose your health...... I was referred a 70yr man suffering from severe pain. A CA Lung with metastasis. He was a very successful, famous Advocate.A Robust and Dynamic personality yesterday.  But that Cancer had made him weak and vulnerable.  He had become a frail shadow..... Another patient with Parkinson 's disease regularly visits for pain relief . A retired Chairman of a Conglomerate.  Both these people have been Dynamic personalities looked up on by everyone. They inspired youth by their enormous work and attitude.  Today,though the Brain is very strong..... The Body became weak and debilitating.  They get emotional " Why me,Doctor?"
