Value of Self esteem

 Self Esteem.


In 326BC,Alexander, the Great fought a long battle crossing the river Jhelum defeating the Indian King of Paurava Dynasty,Puru.
When the Mighty Warrior was brought in front of Alexander, he was asked " How would you like to be treated?"
Inspite of facing defeat,in chains,King Puru ,held his head high and answered
" As A King."

Alexander got so impressed that not only he reinstated King Puru back ,also was handed additional lands and kingdoms.

Self Esteem.

One may lose wealth,power....
Face rejections, failures....
Life may go downwards.....
One may fall.....

But what one must never allow to go down or fall....is one's
SELF ESTEEM.

People around me may not value me.....
But I will never allow my SELF ESTEEM to get devalued.

People may hurt me with harsh words or acts of betrayal....
People may under estimate me....
People may question or doubt my credibility....
People may ridicule me or insult me......
But I shall never allow anyone to hurt my SELF Esteem.....
Never will I allow myself to lower my SELF Esteem.

Irrespective of what society values me and my efforts....
I am responsible to protect my SELF Esteem.
If I don't value myself and my efforts....how will society value me?

Parents are the only support a child has in his world.
If a Parent brings down the SELF Esteem of their own child in front of the Society, who will the child look for support?
A child can face all arrows thrown at him by society, but when that arrow hurting his/ her SELF ESTEEM comes from the Parent, that not only bleeds the heart but shatters the child completely.
Shout,scold when child commits a mistake....that's duty of a Parent. ...to point out mistakes ....to correct the erring child....to show the right path.
But never devalue or doubt the SELF ESTEEM of the child.

Never be ashamed.
Never doubt .
Never devalue.

Self esteem is that garment which covers  a naked man and makes him hold his head high.

Self esteem is beyond money, power and fame.
Invaluable.
Never lose ur SELF ESTEEM......

When you lose Health

 When you lose your health...... I was referred a 70yr man suffering from severe pain. A CA Lung with metastasis. He was a very successful, famous Advocate.A Robust and Dynamic personality yesterday.  But that Cancer had made him weak and vulnerable.  He had become a frail shadow..... Another patient with Parkinson 's disease regularly visits for pain relief . A retired Chairman of a Conglomerate.  Both these people have been Dynamic personalities looked up on by everyone.
