My Life....My Choices.
My Life..... My Choices.
This blog is not critical nor condemning people and their unconventional choices....especially Women.
I saw an old English movie,Kramer vs Kramer.
Also a Bollywood movie, Akele Hum Akele Tum,based on the English movie.
The Woman leaves her young kid with her husband ( who was always busy in his own professional life) to pursue her dreams and aspirations .Once she becomes financially strong, comes back to seek custody of her child.
Society and the movie ,then and now, condemned the heroine, who was projected and judged " Selfish".
When I was small, family had a person, who spent her prime years in pursuing a PhD degree in her field. In mid 40s,she met a divorcee on Matrimonial site, and they got married. A decade later, had a ugly divorce.
In early 60s,she met someone while on vacation and remarried .
Those times,Society and Family condemned and judged the lady and also the 2 men for the life they opted and the choices they made.
Whether yesterday, a very conservative World( India and West both) has condemned and judged unconventional lives and unfathomable choices.
Even today, our so called Modern World, doesn't accept people and their unconventional choices .
We very easily and conveniently pass our judgement. We find unconventional people and their choices unfathomable.
In relation to personal life, professional life,relationships.....
Unconventional lives and choices are judged and criticized.
But do we ever put ourselves in the other person 's shoes?
Are we ever in their situations to understand their choices?
Maybe.....maybe not.
In life, each one has their own journey. Choices are made on the circumstances faced in that journey.
Perception and Priorities are different for each person.....and so are the Aspirations.
Hence each has a different life journey and every choice is different.
There is no correct or a wrong nor is there a Manual to lead a life.
Nobody wants our sympathy but each one wants Empathy.
Instead of passing a random judgement without understanding nor knowing the person and his/ her life....
Repect and be kind.
It's individual life.....
It's their choice.
