Any Health Emmergency- Natural Disaster,Calamity,Pandemics,Conflicts,Trauma,Essential Care.

Anaesthesiologist is seen every where.

Past few years,world has seen the Anaesthesiologist in forefront.
Covid Pandemic,Wars across borders- Gaza war,Ukraine- Russia war, Disasters like the Ahmedabad Air Crash,Natural Disasters like the Uttarakhand Flooding,...or Human Disasters in Kumbh Mela Stampede.....
Along with these Essential Health Emmergencies in Operation Theatre ,Trauma Care and Intensive Care .

Omnipresent.

I am a Freelance private Anaesthesiologist.
Mobile phone is ever ringing any time of the day,night,week,festivals,occasions......
" Fetal Distress,come immediately. "
" Road accident, come for intubation urgently ".
" Massive Bleeding, attend ASAP."
Wherever I am,whatever I am doing,.....
Tired,In Pain ,.....
Midnights.....
Weekends.....

An Anaesthesiologist needs to attend.
Many a times,my own kid has fallen down hurt or with high temperature  ....had to keep my staff in hospital to take care of my dear ones and attend to Emmergencies.
Anaesthesia practice is challenging and very unpredictable.
Society does recognize the efforts of the people in scrubs and mask.
But it's appalling and frustrating to be called " Gas Doctors " even today when every Social Media shows Anaesthesiologist in so many different departments and fields.

Anaesthesia, a field which started with Dr WTG Morton ,administering Ether gas in Manchester Hospital and was practiced by Pharmacists and Surgeons....
Today,it has entered every field of Medicine.
Operation Theatres administering General Anaesthesia, Regional and Peripheral Anaesthesia to various Operative procedures,
Intensive Care
Trauma Care
Disasters Care
Natural and Human Calamity Care
Pain and Palliative care
Diagnostics and Interventional Care Medicine.....

In Future, this list will be endless.
Frontline ever.

Any Health Emmergencies Anywhere , everywhere...
Anytime,everytime.

When you lose Health

 When you lose your health...... I was referred a 70yr man suffering from severe pain. A CA Lung with metastasis. He was a very successful, famous Advocate.A Robust and Dynamic personality yesterday.  But that Cancer had made him weak and vulnerable.  He had become a frail shadow..... Another patient with Parkinson 's disease regularly visits for pain relief . A retired Chairman of a Conglomerate.  Both these people have been Dynamic personalities looked up on by everyone. They inspired youth by their enormous work and attitude.  Today,though the Brain is very strong..... The Body became weak and debilitating.  They get emotional " Why me,Doctor?"
