Metamorphosis of Life
The Metamorphosis. .....of Life.
A journey of vulnerability and dependecy slowly evolves into confident and independent personality.
A Beautiful Metamorphosis.
A baby born ....
So innocent.
Vulnerable.
Dependent on the Parent.
Slowly starts imbibing, emulating and at times even copying the words, actions and traits of the parent.
Recently, video posted by proud Papa ,American Singer and actor,Nick Jonas, showed his young daughter, Malti Marie, exclaim " Oh! My God " exactly the same way as he reacts.....
It's interesting and exhilarating to see our kid enact our traits, style, and exclaim or react to situations just like we do.
We love to show and talk to the world....our kid is " Chip of the same( old) block"....
Then,as the child starts growing and steps into outside world....
It's exciting and same time anxious feeling as a Parent to watch a slowly different personality evolving in front of us.
Varying reactions....
Different reactions from ours...because the child is living in a different surrounding and society compared to our times.
Finally, the child is no longer anymore Dependent upon us.
Nor does the child now an Adult wants to copy us parents anymore.
A totally different confident individual standing in front of the Parent.
But......
At times, surprisingly, the Prodigy does show some similar traits of the Parent....
Chip of the old Block indeed.....the proud Parent chuckles assuringly inside.
As time flies.
The Parent becomes older ,so does the Child.
The reverse Metamorphosis begins.
Child becomes Parent to aged parents.....
The Parent becomes vulnerable and dependent.
The Grown Child now monitors the Parent by keeping caretakers and installs CCTV cameras all over the house .
Regularly calls up " Have you eaten?"
" Have you taken your medications?"
The concerned Child now becomes the Responsible Adult Authority.
The aged Parent now eagerly waits for the Adult child to come home....and affectionately ,tenderly, hug .
Metamorphosis of Life indeed.
