Kapil Dev was once called by Dilip Vengsarkar to bowl for Young 15yr old Sachin Tendulkar at the Shivaji Park nets.

Kapil Dev was at his prime.

He hesitantly bowled to the young 15yr old.

After 1 or 2 bowls casually bowled,Kapil Dev bowled a fast paced Yorker.

Sachin just flicked the ball like a seasoned batsman.


Kapil Dev exclaimed" This boy not only has talent.He also has good control over his mind.He will surely go a long way in Cricket."


Indeed,GOAT Sachin Tendulkar proved right Kapil Dev's words.


Many do have talent .

Many have the skill.

Few manage to reach the top.

Handful become Legends.


It's not only talent and skills....

Intelligence and Brilliance...

Which make an individual successful. 

It's more important how a person controls one's mind and emotions under all circumstances. 

In our country,importance is given more towards education and marks.

Ranks and Grades.

The old school of parenting and curriculum both were regimental.Absolute no scope or window for exploration and diversification. 

The new method of parenting and curriculum stresses on instant gratification for anything and everything. Over protection and over indulgence. Mediocrity too gets applauded.No window for perfection and hard work nor diligence. 


Both ways ,an individual is never taught nor trained Mind control over one's emotions. 


A win gets a person super excited and over the moon.


A loss or rejection drives a person to depression and negativity. 


Sachin Tendulkar spoke a lot on this aspect during his growing up years.


Whenever he returned home after an excellent and exceptional performance on the grounds,while the whole nation celebrated Sachin.....

His family always kept his astounding performances subdued.Every victory ,he would show gratitude to God and offered sugar as gratification. 

No materialistic presents like today's kids get offered...laptop, iphones,foreign trips,Playstation, gadgets etc when good marks or rank scored....at times even mediocre performances .


Before the child asks,everything is on the platter.

Every demand is met.


Hence,a simple trivial rejection is not tolerated.

Obstacles never faced.


Ever mind is either very excited....or filled with Apprehension and uncertainty. 

Overthinking.

Confused.

Lots of information easily available and accessible .

Ever mind is full of choices.

An indecisive mind has no control over itself.


Minding our Mind.


Discipline.

Dedication. 

Grounded.


One needs to train and learn to control emotions....excitement and anger....

Apprehension and Doubt.

Fear and uncertainty. 

One needs to teach oneself composure and calmness...under all circumstances....both when all tables are turned in our favor...and more so when they are bent against us.


Success and Failure both are very difficult and tricky to handle. 


A talented person who handles both success and failure equally .....

Takes Success with pinch of salt...and handles self strongly to face failures....

Reaches the pinnacle of GOAT....Legend .....like our Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

 When you lose your health...... I was referred a 70yr man suffering from severe pain. A CA Lung with metastasis. He was a very successful, famous Advocate.A Robust and Dynamic personality yesterday.  But that Cancer had made him weak and vulnerable.  He had become a frail shadow..... Another patient with Parkinson 's disease regularly visits for pain relief . A retired Chairman of a Conglomerate.  Both these people have been Dynamic personalities looked up on by everyone.
