  The Best Phase of my Life. I was listening to an interview of a well known personality. " Which has been your life's Best phase?" His answer ... Every phase of my life from childhood to growing up till date has been Best Phase of my life. Interviewer: Did you never face any bad moments which let you down?" Answer: Every phase of life at any point or age has its own ups and equal quotient of downs.The downs make you tough.They teach you to value the ups.If life was full of only joy ..it's never heaven. It's boring. Life needs variety of happiness and set backs.Only then do we enjoy.Hence all phases of my Life have been Best." When young,we tell ourselves " Tomorrow I will reach this place and will have this.Then I will be at the Best phase of my life."  TLC Tender Loving Care. The true nature of a spouse,a friend or your children is revealed only when you fall sick. A 65yr lady was referredto my Pain Clinic in irreversible stage of Leiomyosarcoma of Vagina. She had a Colostomy bag.Undergone Chemo and Radiotherapy for the same. She had been given just 6 months survival. Hence her family took her to their remote village.  A very simple grassroot family with meager finances. After 4 years ,her son brought her to the Oncosurgeon for pain relief.  The Morphine tablets were no longer relieving the pain. Every one was shocked to see her alive ,happy ..... But what made us happier was... Though she was bed ridden for years,the whole family had taken such good care of her,there was no beds ore.She looked relatively healthy and relaxed. I examined her.The deadly cancer had eaten away all the soft tissue, muscles in the perineal region around the vagina.Foul smelling ulcer which just wasn't healing....exposing the surrounding bone...

 Acts  of Love without words. " I Love You". 3 words. Express love. Today, Social Media,Insta reels, Gifs,Emojis.....so many platforms professing " Love ". Love of Parent for child and vice versa. Love for siblings to each other. Love between 2 individuals. As Friends or Lovers,or colleagues. Love is demonstrated, expressed in various ways- words,gifts,songs,tattoos .....reels,videos, dance,..... Every one is today openly displaying the emotions for Love. But can Love be shown in any other way? Subtle. Silent. Just acts and emotions hidden inside. Yes.Absolutely. A strict Father who hardly ever spoke words of love. He working day and night for good education and comfortable life of children...Love shown to children. Coming late at night and lightly caressing the head of the sleeping child....Act of Love. Waiting for the child to come from school and coaching class in late afternoon. Serving hot food to the tired child.....All out of Love and concer...

  Mumbai Nostalgia. Recently I read a post on Facebook. BEST had decided to discontinue the bus No.1 route Colaba to Bandra. Citing reason that Bus no.51 Colaba to Santacruz catered to same route. But huge public outcry forced BEST to restart Bus No.1. Bus No.1 ,I have taken for years.Dadar to JJ,Byculla/ KEM,Parel. Dadar to Shivaji Park/ Mahim/ Bandra. From 11th std for my tuition classes,or my visit to Aai( my Maternal Aunt lived in Bandra) and later for various reasons to KEM/ JJ hospitals as Postgraduate in Anaesthesia....later for workshops. In Mumbai, most of our hours in a day is spent in traveling- mostly in local trains or BEST buses. Same route,same time....for years. Only after one goes away from tat route or away from Mumbai....mention of the route and travel brings back nostalgic memories of those days.   Perfect 💯 I saw a movie " Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya" The protagonist was having difficulty in finding That Perfect 💯  " partner for himself.   RESILIENCE QUOTIENT. A baby bird was struggling to come out of the egg.The hard shell was very tough to crack. Seeing the struggle of the small creature, a person broke the shell for the baby to come out easily   Did the person help the baby bird indeed???? No. The baby bird  was born too weak to sustain the hardships of life.Its wings couldn't develop strong enough for its flight . Had the person allowed the baby to fight against the hardness of the egg shell,the wings would have become strong and the baby born would be RESILIENT. Do we allow ourselves to become Resilient?
