 Diverse stories of " Child"

A child born gives immense Joy to parents. Child is provided with all the necessity for good life, health, future by Parents.
Parents view the Child as an extension of themselves...and work hard in seeing their own Aspirations and unfulfilled dreams through their Child.
But how the Child reciprocates to the hard work and sacrifices of the Parents is diversifying......

I had gone to a funeral. As I offered condolences to the son" Yoyr father did lot of social service and earned great name "
Son: My father earned only Name...no money.What will I do of the GOOD NAME?

I had been to a Retirement Party of an Employee.His colleagues, friends and family were seen attending.
His Daughter spoke about him on stage in front of the whole gathering " My Father got so involved in sincerely working for this institution, that he didn't think of earning more money for better future of us kids.He had no financial knowledge and was easily going out to help some needy person. Etc etc on just making owning basic necessity in life".
His Childhood Friend got annoyed by the arrogance of the child and addressed " My Friend did overtime and hence used to be in workplace to provide better education to kids.He was helpful to friends and helped financially so many ...earned so much goodwill and name....That  is why so many have gathered for his Retirement Function "

A lady was brought to me for Palliative care treatment for being in Last stage Cancer.Her sons were simple laborers earning daily wages.
Sons" Doctor, we may be poor.But our mother gave us so much love and affection...Do not hesitate to prescribe costly drugs and procedures. We want our mother to pass away without pain peacefully. "
Mother had neither spent huge money on them nor was she leaving behind great inheritance.
All she had given them is Lots of Love.
The sons were indebted to her.

A Dementia lady who failed to recognize her sons was brought to get her eyes tested to my Ophthalmologist husband.

The Dementia made the old lady difficult to handle.Taking care of her was strain to sons financially, physically and mentally. 

" Our mother when we were small took care of us inspite of so many struggles. It is our duty as Children to take good care of her ".

I was in ICU.A 80yr old was admitted in critical condition. I didn't see any visitors ,relatives enquiring about his condition. His expenses were borne by his Account.
The day the patient died,Suddenly 20 odd relatives came to claim his body....for insurance and inheritance.

As Parents, if we spend more on instilling and teaching good values,right outlook to life and lifestyle.....
Rather than buying materialistic pleasures....
Inheritance we leave behind for our children are Good Values and being a Good Human being.

After we parents are no more,tomorrow our kids are recognized by the society as Good Human Beings.....

We have passed the test of Parenting in life.
