My Footsteps

 The footsteps I take......

The Footsteps you take while walking....
Do watch.....
As someone is Following your Footsteps behind...

If we go on a Nature Trek....with no defined trail.....
If we are climbing a mountain......
Whatever footsteps our leader leaves behind....we just follow....
Either to reach our said planned destination....
Or get completely lost.

As a kid,I was always with my Ajji.My both parents being working morning till late evening.
Ajji was very simple, strict, organised, and disciplined.
Her thoughts modern but lifestyles was conservative- Early riser, simple home food,Daily pooja .She had just 2 meals a day.Always in  9yards .....
She was well versed with  Bhagwad Geeta.

When I joined MGIMS, Sewagram, the environment around followed Gandhian principles. My teachers were dedicated to Medicine and served selflessly.

Then I came to BYL Nair Ch. Hospital for my post graduation in Anaesthesia. Here I got opportunity to work with protocols based, organised and meticulous Teachers and Seniors in Operation Theatre.

I just followed the Footsteps left behind .

Many a times,we see on road unruly, ill mannered, rash people who violate rules and misbehave.
In a party,we come across kids behaving arrogant with other kids and staff.
People ruining public property and just for fun troubling others, creating a havoc.
People in a crowd pushing, jostling and harsh in their words and behaviors.

This attitude always leaves me wondering " Whose Footsteps are these Following?"

Children are like sponge. They just imbibe whatever they are surrounded with.
In closed four walls of our house, the environment we create and footsteps we take while walking in our homes.....our kids will be following those footsteps behind us.

The footsteps we take in our  day to day life.....oblivious of everything,
Footsteps we take when we doing our daily chores....
The mannerisms and attitude in life towards everything and everyone around us.....
Our kid is simply following our footsteps.

A teacher who is teaching her students doesn't teach only the subject.....
But the students are deeply imbibing slowly the teachers thoughts and actions.
The footsteps a teacher is taking while walking around the class while teaching.....
Students are walking the footsteps left behind.

If we expect a safe society with progressive attitude....
If we want law abiding dedicated ,mindful and sincere system....
If we want to be surrounded by love ,affection and respect......

We must watch our footsteps while we walk along a path......
Someone is following on those footsteps we have left behind.
