A blog on Air India Flight crash

 It happened one moment......

X was upset that day.Well actually not only that day,but life sucked since she got her degree  A Topper throughout her education phase,she thought Life is set after her Management degree from an esteemed University .All doors to a bright career will now open for her.But it didn't happen so.The offers which paid well didn't give her job satisfaction. The places she loved didn't monetarily appreciate her.

Frustrated,she cursed her Destiny. 

She applied to a UK University for further studies which would assure her a lucrative career abroad.After months of trying, she finally got admission to top University in London.

She was all set to leave the country,maybe forever......

Traffic jam delayed her.She missed the Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London. 

She cursed her Destiny once again. 

Y had got admission to top BJ college Ahmedabad. He now could fulfill his dreams and make his parents proud.The entire 4and half years of MBBS was very tough....and stressful.He completed the entire course and 2 days back joined as a Resident in Obstetrics department. 

The department was very busy.Chaotic and very demanding. He had an argument with the Post graduate in the Labor Room.so as punishment had to put in extra hours.

He was very annoyed.He cursed the Pist Graduate in charge....headed to the Mess to grab a bite hurriedly. He had to report for entire next 24hrs on call Labor duty.Coming early for lunch( usually most gathered at around 2pm) At 12.30pm ,there was only Dal Rice( no Roti,and Sabji was very  very hot)..he ate all alone.He ran back to the Hospital adjacent to the Boys Hostel. 

Z had retired after years of service in a Corporate. But the company requested him to complete the London assignment as favor .His wife had planned a vacation post retirement for some good time together after so many years.Hearing about this work trip to London, she started fuming." When will you give priority to your wife and spend some time with family?"...and refused to say Goodbye as he called her before his Air India Flight to London from Ahmedabad was about to take off.

A young couple had got recently married.They had saved money for a trip to London,a city they had seen in movies and magazines.Ah,let's begin our life together with a trip to the most wished city in our Bucket List.....and excitedly, holding each other's hands..they saw their Air India flight take off from Ahmedabad airport heading to London. 

AirI ndia flight AI171 from Ahmedabad heading to  London Gatwick airport crashed after takeoff on 12th June,2025.It crashed on the BJ Medical college Boys Hostel mess.

Not only the passengers in the aircraft ( except one survivor who miraculously came out of the burning aircraft) but few Medical Residents were charred to death.

X broke down hearing the news of the crash of the Flight she had missed.She thanked God and was grateful to her Good luck and Destiny. 

Y thanked the Post graduate for sending him to have an early lunch and forcing him to reach the Hospital. His friend Residents who came for lunch later got burnt when the Aircraft in flames crashed  over the Boys Hostel Mess.

Z died instantly as the flight crashed.His wife collapsed when she saw the news of the crash on Television. She prayed God for her husband 's safety.She cursed herself for not picking his call ....the last one.She blamed herself for fighting with him.Now she will never hear his voice any more.....as he was No More.

The couple both lost their lives.Though they could not see London....but their end came with both holding each other's hands.....Love lost forever.

Air India AI171 disaster has been most shocking aviation mishap till date at least in India.More than 300 charred to death.Many injured due the flames of the crash.The aircraft crashed in public place....A Boys Hostel of the busiest Medical college and Government hospital in Ahmedabad. Surrounded by Apartments and Buildings with offices in peak working hours of a busy day of the week.

Many casualties.Many more deaths.

The people who just missed the crash....are in shock of being so so close to death.

The relatives of victims are shocked of tragic death of their dear ones....worrying whether they will be fortunate to retrieve their loved one's charred body.

Life is very  very unpredictable. 

One never knows today...in our routine daily  work....what may happen that moment. 

The Air India flight crashed within moments of take off and crashed into flames on a Hostel mess. 

All happened suddenly within moments.

Be grateful for beautiful moments. 

Live and love every moment of your life with yourself and your loved ones.....

That moment maybe the last......

Let's stand by all those working relentlessly in this times of disaster in Ahmedabad. I stand by with folded hands with my Medical Fraternity in Ahmedabad who are working hard to save Lives.

My heartfelt condolences to the unfortunate departed souls and their bereaved shocked relatives.
