 Lost The Way.......


A short story.....

A group of Stanford graduates were given a task to show their Entrepreunership qualities.

Each group was given a 5$ bill and 2hrs to make maximum money followed by a 3min presentation on how they went about it.

The first group utilized the 5$ and purchased materials ex Lemonade stand,Lottery tickets,Burger stand etc.Sold the materials for 2 hrs and made money.

The 2nd group thought 5$ worthless.

They purchased the reservation slot in a top restaurant. For 2hrs they sold the booked reservation slots to people who don't want to wait for long.Thus made money.

The 3rd group didn't bother to use neither the 5$ nor the 2hrs....Instead they sold their 3min presentation time to a top company who was interested in recruiting Stanford graduates....

And made a whopping money of 650$.

What do we learn from this????


If we concentrate wholly on the tactics only ( the 5$ here) we tend to get lost by concentrating only on it.....forgetting the strategy.

If we concentrate only on the strategy.....our vision gets narrowed to only one focus....( to earn money in 2nd group)....that our Peripheral vision.....the other means to contribute to our goal gets blinded.


For a successful Entrepreneurship, we mustn't get over ridden by our tactics or Strategies. 

The goal is to build an enterprise.....an overall vision .....perspective is necessary. 


Recently, a group of Old IIT Alumnii lamented....

The creativity and innovative minds were no longer seen in current IIT graduates. 

Most had a " Tunnel vision" and fixed goals.


Reason being tough competitions in Enterance Exams today.

Huge number of applications but fewer seats.

The rat race to clamour a Good Percentile and high AIRs.....


The students focus on this goal since 3rd or 4th std at times.

So by the time they enter any Premier Institute, they are already burnt out and exhausted.


All they strategise is procurement of degree and jobs.


A very much " Tunnelled vision"  ....


Even if some enthusiastic Energetic persons do utiliser their creativity to start Innovative Start Ups.....

Their focus is only on the Strategy.


Their Peripheral Outlook gets blinded by the over ride of Strategy. 


Dear Parents and Bureacracy......

If we want  Creative and Innovative minds which can bring in sea of reformist ideas for betterment of society tomorrow......

Allow overall growth of children today.

Allow the young minds to explore everything  

Encourage their curious and inquisitive minds.

Please don't box their minds into compartments. 

Freedom of expression. 

Freedom of Exploration with no boundaries. 


Here,I want to express my thoughts on AI and ChatGPT.

If used wisely as a guiding tool,both can help young minds to broaden their Horizon of Thoughts.

But if the thought process gets dependent on AI and ChatGPT,then cognitive abilities of children gets restricted .


If we want our kids to walk the road for long and be productive in their journey by contributing a lot ......allow them to have a  broad vision and perspective. 

Else,the young minds are simply going to get lost midway......

When you lose Health

 When you lose your health...... I was referred a 70yr man suffering from severe pain. A CA Lung with metastasis. He was a very successful, famous Advocate.A Robust and Dynamic personality yesterday.  But that Cancer had made him weak and vulnerable.  He had become a frail shadow.....
