 Unmindful Expenditures. 

A well publicized Mega mart......

Out of curiosity, the FOMO forced me to visit this massive store in Bengaluru. 

Attractive items at equally attractive prices.

Before entering I had made a list to be purchased.I spent more than an hour or 2,admiring with awe....just like a curious kid in a Toy or Candy store......

Purchases done.....

UPI payment over.....

I came home with a very satisfied shopping delighted smile.

I had shopped so many useless unwanted stuffs.....

Completely forgetting to buy the essential items I had made a list of........

UPI,Credit Cards.....Digital payment.....

Technology has made Expenditures so easy.

Even my vegetables vendor on the roadside footpath now displays a QR code for payment.......

Even if I forget my wallet,and am returning home after a casual evening stroll.....sighting fresh produce of Groundnuts placed in heapful......I could buy more than a kilo.....

UPI makes such sudden whimsical Expenditures so so easy.

A swipe of The Finger.

Digitalisation has made life convenient. 

But drawback is Unmindful actions which we are unaware of the resulting Expenditures. 

Pre Digitalisation, we would withdraw certain amount of money and plan our expenses. Items required would be thoughtfully enlisted prior to shopping. All Expenditures would be within our budget. 

The most mindful people would plan the entire annual expenses and budget for Expenditures. 

Post Digitalisation, Technology has made Expenditures easy .Impulsive purchases are leading to unmindful Expenditures. 

Later realizing how many useless items are filled into your homes,cupboards and lives.

The stress on wallets is another Stressful reason into an already stressful life.

This results in a wide gap.....a huge Disparity between the income reaching your Bank Accounts in the beginning of the month.....and the amount of money remaining in your Account at the end of the month. 

Money today is just a number clicked by a finger today.....

Expenditures are swiped off in a fraction of a second......

Purchases are done impromptu......

I am not defaming Technology. 

Technology must be used to make our life easier.

But the way we use Technology must be with lot of awareness and mindfulness.

My Parents used to warn me.....words once uttered ....coming out of our mouth....are like arrows shot out....

One can't take back.

So we need to be careful before expressing our thoughts through words.

Similarly, once the finger gets swiped to purchase any item impromptu just on a whim and fancy......the money gets spent.You can't retrieve back your actions even if later you repent on the useless unwanted expenditure...

Look Before You Leap.

Think a second before you swipe.....

Do I really need it....

As wanting....and needing.....are not the same.
