Will I be remembered?

 Will I be remembered????

Few days back,the social media showed Rafael Nadal,the King of Rolland Garros,have his footprint engraved  near the Umpire side of the court .

He will now be remembered forever.

A thought.....

Rafa has accomplished so much in Tennis which nobody or few could achieve, hence he will be remembered forever.GOAT.

What have I achieved in my life,that except for a few loved ones,nobody will ever remember me!!!!!

Will anyone remember me??????

The next day,I got few messages on my WhatsApp from some school friends. 

Someone chance saw my profile from Facebook, got my mobile number from another friend and messaged me " Hi Tripti. Just remembered you and school days."

Another remembered that am a Doctor, so sent his medical reports for opinion.

Another sent me pics of our Hostel days,remembering those beautiful days in Sewagram. 

In the afternoon, I got a call from unknown mobile number.Truecaller identified it as a person I knew from Nair hospital where I did my Post graduation. The person remembered my face and jolly nature and was talking about me with another friend of Nair.It was a pleasure reconnecting with your past teachers.It was a heartwarming feeling of being remembered by someone. ( I left Nair in 2000 and was there only for 1 and half years)

Evening I was leaving for my Operations,few kids were playing in the Apartment ....2 boys came to me" Aunty,we are leaving tonight back to our home as our schools restart.We will miss you.You will be Remembered. "

Being Remembered is indeed a very heartwarming and touching feeling. 

I may not have achieved much nor done very great in my life.I am very ordinary person indeed who has just sincerely worked hard.

The world will never remember me.

But that day,made me realize,......

In our life,beauty,qualifications, wealth, power....may give you popularity in society around.But temporary. 

It is our nature,our behaviour and interaction with people around us,which makes people remember us.....if not always.....but in some casual conversation......fondly. 

Today,Social media and Digital World has got us many " Followers " .Millions.

But once you are out of sight......you are out of their mind.They forget you.....You are never Remembered. 

But physically interacting with people around you.....

People understand the real person in you.

You are Remembered......at least sometime.....even if you aren't there.

That day made me happy and satisfied......in the end.

Yes,I too am remembered. 

I too will be remembered.
