The Rains ....

The Monsoon of Mumbai. 


Monsoon from the South West Winds,in month of Mid June - July.

Mumbai sees heavy rains. 

Rains bring memories of childhood and days of Postgraduation in Nair


Beginning of Monsoon saw Beginning of each new academic year of school.

New Raincoat.

New Rainy shoes.

A strong weatherproof School Bag which protected my books from getting wet.

Growing older , cycling in rains,into the puddles ,splashing water.

Getting drenched and coming home.Getting scolded by Ajji.Getting my hair dried and being fed hot Bhajias with Coffee.

Paperboats over rivulets entering the gutter.

My Postgraduate days in Nair took me to Chowpatty with friends. Enjoying the Monsoon and Breeze with hot Bhuttas. 

Monsoon got the railway tracks and roads submerged under floods .

Getting stranded in Duty rooms for days.....or waddling in water from Trauma Centre to Operation Theatre Building when the Hospital complex too got flooded due to heavy incessant rains.


Some love rains.

Some depend upon rains. 

But some people face lots of trouble due to heavy rains.


I love Monsoon ( even if clothes fail to dry at home).

Hubli roads become very muddy and slippery. Traffic becomes chaotic if incessant rains.


I love the चार आने की बारिश a lot. 

Mumbai Monsoon-Nostalgia fondly remembered.

When you lose Health

 When you lose your health...... I was referred a 70yr man suffering from severe pain. A CA Lung with metastasis. He was a very successful, famous Advocate.A Robust and Dynamic personality yesterday.  But that Cancer had made him weak and vulnerable.  He had become a frail shadow..... Another patient with Parkinson 's disease regularly visits for pain relief . A retired Chairman of a Conglomerate.  Both these people have been Dynamic personalities looked up on by everyone. They inspired youth by their enormous work and attitude.  Today,though the Brain is very strong..... The Body became weak and debilitating.  They get emotional " Why me,Doctor?" " Just look at me today.Yesterday I was energetic and always on the go.Today I struggle with pain.Tomorrow I may either be on a wheel chair or bedridden for the rest of my life."
