 My Insta profile......


When I was young,the fingers were pointed out on my short plump and not fair profile.
Those fingers did make me concious especially in my teens and more when in crowd or in occasions amongst people.
My group of MBBS friends were planning on a Reunion after almost 25yrs.
My anxiety over my profile overrode  my enthusiasm for meeting my dear batchmates after so many years.

Yes.
Insta Profile- how I look,my body,my face,my dressing....
External Appearance.....
As young as 10yr old girls are anxious about Insta Profile.
How world views them?
How they appear to the outside world?

Pre Social media, when girls came of marriageable age.....the looks mattered a lot in the " Matrimonial Market".

Post Social Media,all ages...are anxious about their " Insta Profile".
A teen with a changing body structure and hormonal imbalances giving them acne,plump body,dysmorphism.....are suffering  and struggling with mental issues like depression, eating disorder, body and gender phobias,....
To attract many followers and viewers on their Insta Profile, they are resorting to body shopping,Morphing, AI generated pictures ,fad diets,Provocative Dressing, Suggestive Reels,......
As we age,our External Appearance changes with Motherhood and later with Menopause.
Comparing each others Insta Profile,...something as natural as Aging is fought hard.
Resorting to age reversing procedures,Following unhealthy diets,Regimes,Strenuous Fitness drills....to look young,fight bulges and wrinkles.....


Insta Profile has taken over our essence of life.
Instead of working hard to build our individual personality and identity,skills and credibility,....youth concentrates on Building a good Insta Profile to garner followers.
Adults are not accepting a Process called Aging....
Social Media and Marketing Industry are taking advantage of this Fad to " Look" Youthful.
The teens are lured to look older than their age....
The Aged are enticed to fit into  half their respective age.....
A 10/"15 yr old aspires to look 25....

A 50 yr old fights hard to still be in her 20s.

No wonder,society today is ever disappointed, anxious, unhappy and depressed.

Being Healthy is not same as as Physically perfect.
Fitness is not Perfect Body Dimensions.

Healthy diet includes right amount of Carbohydrates, Fats,Proteins and essential elements. All are required in adequate proportions.
Fitness means Body strength and Stamina. Simple Cardio,Yoga and Meditation are enough.

A Healthy Body.
A Peaceful Mind.
A Benevolent Heart which contributes to society.

My Insta Profile needs these more than my Looks.
