  Anxiety and Stress. A 17yr old had come for CT scan. She had been complaining of abdominal pain since 6 months  Not relieving on medications.Her Ultrasound and Blood reports were normal. Parents were anxious. They insisted on CT scan. As soon the scan began, the girl became very cold.She started shivering and complained of breathing difficulty,giddiness. So I was called in Emmergency. I checked her vitals Monitoring too didn't find any abnormalities  . This type of episode was her main complaint along with abdominal pain. A 35yr lady,was in her last trimester of pregnancy. She had 2 female children from previous pregnancies . Anxiety and stress of bearing male child this time,lead to shooting up of her blood pressure .She had to undergo Emmergency Csection at 30weeks itself due to high Blood pressure. This time,too ,she got female baby.2hrs post operative, ,she started bleeding copiously. Her blood pressure which was initially 160/100mmHg inspite of 2 anti Hyper...

  Trust..... My first born when he was handed to me for the first time.....he was very tiny.I was inexperienced and emotional. It's not first time,I had held a newborn. I am a Doctor and Anaesthesiologist. Handled newborns even smaller than my baby...premature,underweight,preterm..... But Maternal emotions made my hands tremble. My newborn maybe felt scared...." Will this person hold me well?" Distrust and fear made the little one grab my finger with his little finger. TRUST..... A very important factor between 2 individuals.... Especially if one is dependent on the other. I have been in medical field for decades now. Anaesthesia and Emmergency medicine brings to me individuals in their most vulnerable situations.   Progressed,have we reached there? 2 youth drowned in frozen Sela Lake, Arunachal Pradesh . Few days back,a hospital staff gifted his young son KTM Duke.The young boy with another friend raced the new bike on the highway at night full speed,lost control and hit the divider. Both youths were on  spot dead. Morning, the small park with a walking track, visited by many senior citizens, saw 2 12/ 13yr old boys cycle on their new multiple geared bicycles .A walking track with uneven pavement, the boys found cycling the bike difficult. The ignorant boys attempted wheely, crashed trying to dodge the Morning walkers,and fell down.Both hurt themselves badly and had to rush to hospital. Such behavior is today very common every where in India. India today is upcoming developing country. Technology field has seen massive growth. Digitalisation has made everything accessible and available. Nuclear families has given lesser financial responsibility on earning members and hence today...

  When the cup is not only full....but overflowing. I was asked ,once,...." How do you gauge your professional career success?" I come from a middle class background. My parents both came from very humble background. They worked hard against all constraints and hurdles....with compromises and sacrifices...and brought up my brother and myself . My strength was my education. Education opened doors of opportunities and privileges for me. My struggles ended the day I got my degree. Every Milestone was celebrated after that ....the day I started earning. When the cup is empty initially, even a drop of water quenches thirst and brings happiness.... But once the same cup becomes full and later starts overflowing..... Even if the cup is only 1/4 th empty..... We fail to appreciate that the cup is still 3/4 th full....and satisfy so many people. When our cups are overflowing, we fail to appreciate the abundance. We fail to express gratitude for priviliges...... Privilege ...

  Essence of Life. Sunday I happened to follow podcast on YouTube by Nikhil Kamath of Zeroda,interview all important personalities who happened to bring revolutionary visions which benefitted not only their companies but entire nation and society. Nandan Nilenkani who helped Digitalisation, Aadhar and Infosys. Elon Musk who brought Electronic revolution. Kumar Mangalam Birla ,Chairman of the largest Conglomerate in India . To name a few. These personalities are well known, rich and famous. But there are many lesser known, not so affluent and not so highly educated persons who have contributed to the society and our country in many different ways.   Darr Bikta Hai.....Fear Sells. A 50yr old woman was posted for Hysterectomy. She had been bleeding copiously,lots of clots for over a month due to Fibroids and Bulky endometrial lining of uterus. Every visit, she refused Hysterectomy as advised by her Gynecologist. She landed up in Casualty unconscious after a heavy bout of clots and severe Anaemia. A 70yr old woman was complaining of dimness of vision to her son for a long time.A consultation with the Ophthalmologist, it was diagnosed Cataract of both eyes for which surgery with IOL advised.But son kept postponing the surgery. One night ,the Geriatric on her way to washroom,couldn't see properly and banged her head to the wall and sustained injuries. Health care in our country is on the bottom list of priorities. Retired couples with kids abroad.Spending some leisure time earned after years of hard work,struggles,and sacrifices. Young newly married couples starting their new life together, bonding and getting to know each other. Friends and Families having a small get together.  But what touches me most is Daughters bringing their Moms. In India,women are entrusted with domestic responsibilities and they hardly are allowed nor do they feel to spend time and money on themselves.  When the Daughter gets educated herself against all objections and restrictions....Becomes independent....financially strong....
