A 50yr old woman was posted for Hysterectomy.
She had been bleeding copiously,lots of clots for over a month due to Fibroids and Bulky endometrial lining of uterus.
Every visit, she refused Hysterectomy as advised by her Gynecologist.
She landed up in Casualty unconscious after a heavy bout of clots and severe Anaemia.

A 70yr old woman was complaining of dimness of vision to her son for a long time.A consultation with the Ophthalmologist, it was diagnosed Cataract of both eyes for which surgery with IOL advised.But son kept postponing the surgery. One night ,the Geriatric on her way to washroom,couldn't see properly and banged her head to the wall and sustained injuries.

Health care in our country is on the bottom list of priorities.

In order to convince our patients to agree to undergo investigations and procedures ,....a herculean task in India,....one sometimes have to create fear.....
To convince a multiple blocks in heart patient,a fear of possibility of Stroke which will make person morbid,moribund and bed ridden...dependent forever.
To convince a severe protrusion of interVertebral disc...touching the Spinal chord ,compressing the chord....Fear of losing bowel and bladder control or paraplegia.....
In extreme cases,Medical personnel are forced to induce " Fear" in order to bring the patient take treatment.

But,this same method ....
Creating Fear in minds of ignorant people is used by many for unethical practices.

Fear sells.....Darr bikta hai.

Medical industry uses this Fear to force patients undergo expensive investigations and undergo unwanted procedures.
It was Fear which created panic during Covid Pandemic and few unethical people misused this for personal gains.

Fear is a weapon used by unscrupulous political parties who have vested interests.....
Fear .....spreading of fake stories,messages,posts on social media.....has lead to gathering of massive crowds,stampede and loss of many lives.
Fear....created by selfish persons in minds of innocent and ignorant people to spread irrational, radical thoughts and practices.
Fear....if manifests through generations ....leads to a weak and under developed society.
Fear....if sowed in younger minds ,wipes out rational thinking.Especially in schools and colleges  ...amongst youth ....who are going to be future citizens of society.....kills inquisitiveness,Curiosity and Innovative Creativity. This leads to a Society with rudimentary and regimental minds.

Fear.....blocks mind to think rationally.
Fear.....if manipulated by opportunistic people....bears fruits of radicalism and extremism.
Fear ....can be misused.
How do we stop selling of Fear?

Create awareness and spread education and right knowledge....information about essential services.
Allow young minds to be inquisitive and curious....fearless and Innovative.....Creative and carefree.

Raise a generation which questions credibility.

Checks  on Fake and provoking messages which create unwanted and irrational fear amongst public and society.

Social Media today is a big influence on every one.
It is the fastest means of communication and exchange of everything.

Social Media is a double edged weapon.....it can used efficiently but misused most often.

As an individual, one must not rely everything shown by social media.One must cross check against fake and wrong information.
Always consult reliable and experienced persons who are true to their profession and convey right information.
