Divinity is Humbling

 Divinity is humbling.


A neighbor is devotee of Tirupati Shri Balaji.
A few days back,a chance conversation with him and I don't know what made me to join him for a visit to Tirupati  .
My husband too agreed to join.
2 days back, we reached Tirupati traveling in Haripriya Express- Kolhapur to Tirupati.
Kolhapur has Priya- Ambabai/ Goddess Laxmiji.
Tirupati has Hari- Shri Balaji/ Lord Venkateshwara.
The entire bogie was filled with devotees .All age groups,babies,infants, toddlers, Teens,Youth, Adults,Aged.....
Morning we reached Tirupati and were put up in Vishnu Niwasam  By TTD.
4 floored building full of lakhs of devotees.
This Accommodation building by T TD not only provides free lodging but also Free Anna Prasadam- Food for all devotees visiting Tirupati.
Many climb the hills to reach Tirumalai.
But we took Bus to reach atop.
We stood in the Queue for Darshan.
A long wait to reach our God Shri Balaji- 7 hrs.
But TTD has good arrangements for the devotees, protecting them from harsh Hot Sun of Tirumalai. Covered Waiting areas,with seats, RO water taps for drinking water,Washrooms,Feeding areas for mothers,Free Anna Prasadam.
At times the Waiting period extends to even 12hrs and more.
Amongst devotees ,exchanging notes on various topics....the whole night without sleep was spent with great fervor to see our Lord Balaji.
Chants of Govinda Govinda....all time.
We embarked our Darshan journey at 7pm.Walking kilometers amongst the human Queue ......for over 6hrs at a stretch.....
Finally at 1.30am .....past Midnight finally entered the Temple.....and getting glimpse of the Gigantic Statue of Shri Balaji
.Astounding.Exhilarating.....
Surreal.....
You walk whole night....exhaustion ,discomfort,pain....for hours together.....
The Darshan is a glimpse of just fraction of seconds as the volunteers shove you aside amongst a huge mammoth crowd of devotees .
That Glimpse of Shri Balaji....
Absolute Divine....
You forget your long long hours of endless wait....
Your body suddenly becomes recharged, energised....and you feel Blissful, fresh and a strange happiness inside....Trance Divinity.
As bus services are closed from 12am to 3am....
We sat on the roads in front of the Temple....looking at the Tall Golden Gopura and the huge premises of Tirumalai Balaji temple....amongst lakhs of devotees around.....till 3am....to listen to " Kausalya Supraphrabat" song.....blaring on the loudspeakers....a wakeup Supraprabhat...Good Morning to the Lord Balaji.

Hours of wait,
Kilometers of walking around in hot scorching sun ...Queues,Long ones.... every where for every thing  ...For Darshan, Anna Prasadam, Laddoos,.... Water,Washroom  ....
It was an exhausting ordeal.

Blisters on feet.
Aching bones....
Drooping eyes  ...no sleep for 2 days.....

Yet,a glimpse of Shri Balaji....
Divinity puts you in Trance.
A very Humbling experience

Last month ,had been to Dubai trip ...extravaganza and lavishness to the pinnacle.
This trip was humbling....
Barefoot, basic amenities, free meals.....amongst jostling nudging mammoth sea of human devotees....
No 5star Accommodation.
No gourmet meals..
No Luxury or lavish lifestyle.

Absolute bare and basic.

Which was good?

I felt inner peace and happiness after my Tirupati visit.

Will I revisit Tirupati inspite of the tiring and very exhausting ordeal?
Yes and next visit,I will climb the hills of Tirmalai.
And will do the Sarva Darshanam.....
Govinda Govinda.

 When you lose your health...... I was referred a 70yr man suffering from severe pain. A CA Lung with metastasis. He was a very successful, famous Advocate.A Robust and Dynamic personality yesterday.  But that Cancer had made him weak and vulnerable.  He had become a frail shadow.....
