The Real Test of Life

 The Real Test of Life.

I have given many competitive enterance exams, prepared for various exams almost till few years ago in my life.
Initially I felt my boards were tough,then came pre medical.....till I faced the toughest in my academic career....my Final year MBBS exams as it had many subjects and exams went on for 2 months.
But I feel academic exams are easiest as what you read to prepare for the exams ...actually comes in the exam.
Parenting is in my opinion the incredibly toughest and real exam one gives as an individual.
This exam has no curriculum nor syllabus.
Though guide books are aplenty and many people feel authoritative on Parenting......
Only when one becomes a Parent.....each child is different and each day a different challenge.
With each growing year of the child,New issues and new situations arise each moment.
Each generation comes with its own challenges of Parenting.
When in initial years,feeding and nurturing needs solutions.....
Toddlers come with different set of tasks to be dealt.....
School going children have studies,extra curricular activities....and currently screen time has added to the challenge faced by all Parents.
Adolescent brings Rebellious Teen and Inquisitive hormones.
As a Parent, a balance between cool and authority is must.....
Adulting gives freedom and independence to the grown child.
As a Parent, we feel our duty ,responsibilities and tensions of Parenting get over once our kid becomes independent and responsible.....but that's just an illusion.
Adult child brings wirh them another level of exams of being supportive parents who don't interfere.

Whatever be age of child....
Parents to that child remain a Parent....and however big the child may grow....child remains a Child....
Forever.

How do we score in the exam called " Parenting"?

Do we Pass or Fail in this Real Test of Life ?

There is no marksheet or a scorecard to rate us as Parent....
Nor does any child or society acknowledge our efforts.....nor give us any Prize for being good parent.....

The only result of this Real Test of our Life....of Parenting....is our child.
When our Child turns out to be a Kind,Compassionate, Independent, Caring Individual....Confident and Contributing towards growth of society and people.....
When someone comes and tells you" You brought up your child well."......
That's the biggest award an individual receives.....and highest marks scored in the Real Test of Life.
