Critic and Criticism

 Critic and Criticism.

A person who judges, analyses always ..everything and everyone.
Some are Critics by profession while most in society are Critical about all by nature.
Critics rarely see anything good.Their eyes notice only the flaws and drawbacks.
Their Words are filled with disgruntle....and dissatisfaction.
The choice of words are ever harsh and abusive.

Critics always vouch that Criticism is the only way to correct others.

They feel Criticism makes the other person stronger and motivated.
They vouch that Criticism throttles and pushes the other to realise their mistakes and shortcomings to perform better.

All of us have been surrounded by Critics and faced their harsh Criticism a lot in life right since childhood.
In school, I did have a very strict teacher for many years. She would be Critical about everything. Her Criticism would be full of abusive words.
In Medical college, it was very common to have Critical Professors who verbally abused us students by creating self doubt about our worth as Medical Students.
A small mistake or ignorance about something resulted in harsh Criticism and even physical abuse in front of the patients and staff.

Later, many a times,Criticism and  harsh words get heard in workplace .

Parents, Teachers,Employers feel that Criticism is needed for betterment of a child or an adult.

Yes.

One needs to be corrected .Mistakes should be pointed.
Shortcomings must be shown.
Only then, will a child or an adult improvise for good results.
But the Critic must be mindful of the words and language used to criticise.

If a child is always being Criticised by words which hurt self esteem and confidence,it starts gradually building self doubt and low self confidence in the child in due course of time.

If we are self Critic. If we only do Self Criticism, ever judge and analyse ourselves.....initially we do get motivated to correct ourselves. But in due course of time,we fail to notice our good points, efforts, achievements in life. Our eyes ever notice only our flaws and shortcomings. This leads to us ever being disgruntled and dissatisfied with ourselves and our life in later years.

A Critic and Criticism is like walking on a rope.
Every word and each emotion needs to be calculated and balanced.
Only then you can walk properly and safely to the other end.
