 Education- Door to Resources.

I watched 2 podcasts.

One had a Billiinaire who left his Tier 3 city in India after losing every thing in business.His mother sold her jewelry and gave him Rs 50,000 to go to Dubai.He worked hard and started a business in Dubai.He is amongst the wealthiest in world.

He regretted only one thing....He couldn't get enough Education because of his low resources in India.

Another Podcast had a Billionaire from Europe. 

His father was a simple carpenter who encouraged his children to pursue good education. His father worked hard to see all children go to college and get Degree.

Education is very important. 

Those with low resources,under privileged background know the real strength of Education. 

Education is the only way which can open the doors to opportunities in life.

Education is the only way towards resources .

When I was in medical college, so many girls who came from grassroots and conservative background, knew the value of the MBBS degree.

The degree opened doors to their freedom to express, financial stability and identity in society. 

When my children were in a residential school which had students under RTE( Right To Education),...Education was the only door to a better life in future. 

The girls who had fought with their father to secure admission under RTE in that college so far from their villages, were so aggressive and hard working ,...they put lot of efforts in preparation for NEET exam. 

" If I don't get a good rank in NEET and secure admission in Government Medical college, my father will get me married off .Just like my mother, I will end up cooking, washing and cleaning, all my life".

Education opens door to so many girls to be independent and gives them Freedom to everything in Life.

Unfortunately, once resources and Freedom come aplenty......

One forgets about Education. 

The Rich raise children who have no value for Education. 

More importance is then given to Money and all that can be bought by Money.

In our Culture in India, Education and Knowledge are given the highest importance ...Maa Saraswati.

Maa Saraswati,Goddess of Knowledge is prayed before Devi Laxmi ,Goddess of Wealth. 

In childhood, we are taught prayers to Maa Saraswati for more knowledge and good Education. 

As we grow older,get Education and start earning.....

Maa Saraswati gets forgotten......and is remembered only during Navratri ,if at all....

Devi Laxmiji is offered prayers daily.

It's only when resources get lost.....the next generation starts looking at value of Education which will reopen the doors to Resources.

A Saudi Sheikh once said

I had no resources,would go on a Camel.I worked hard to buy a Mercedes car.My son and grandson enjoyed the Wealth I earned.My son roams around in Lamborghini...My grandson has a Rolls Royce.....

My great grandson will have to go back on Camel."

Value what we have today. ..so that our coming generations can get it too.

Education and knowledge is that heritance which if handed down generation...will ever keep the doors to resources open.
