Today is World Anaesthesia Day.
Formerly celebrated as Ether Day.
Right since medieval period,ancient history does show Surgeries being performed under various methods of analgesia.
In the 19th century, October 16th,1846,Dr WTG Morton successfully administered Ether and the famous sentence " Your patient is ready for surgery,Doctor. " paved emergence of Anaesthesia and Anaesthesiology as a separate field of Medicine.
From Ether to AI-
From 19th century after above Operation Theatre surgery ,Anaesthesia evolved.
20th Century Anaesthesia grew leaps and bounds.
From General Anaesthesia, it evolved to Regional Anaesthesia and Peripheral Anaesthesia.
Newer Drugs and subsequent molecules,
From rudimentary Drop method of inhalation agents to Boyles machine to swanky Work stations,
